Let me share with you guys my most recent addiction: Digitalism's new single, 2 Hearts. It's the perfect song to listen to when you're having a road trip with your friends, or maybe while you're in your room daydreaming about your crush, or probably while you're walking down your school's corridors - basically it fits every second of your life.. even when you're sad! You wouldn't be for long, though because this song just uplifts your mood. I'm a hundred and one percent sure of that.

The Naked and Famous
In my last post, I mentioned how it was weird that I'm not talking about anything fashion or music-related. Now, this post is it.
I'm sure that like me, you'll fall for them too.
PS.
They make New Zealand more appealing by the minute.
Are you naked? Most of all, are you famous? I bet not.
These guys certainly are. They're not naked but they're absolutely climbing their way to the top. They are The Naked and Famous; an alternative rock / electropop "shoegaze" band based in New Zealand who brought us "Young Blood" - their single that debuted at number one in the charts in 2010. I fell in love with the song the first time I heard it. The first notes to the song sent my head bob up and down, my hips swaying side to side and my hands raised above my head. It was an instant hit. When I heard them I figured "Hey, why not check out their other songs?". Punching in a Dream and The Sun were an instant mainstay on my playlist.

Phoenix
You wouldn't have to guess what I'm talking about since this post's title basically says it all.
Phoenix has got to be one of my favorite bands of all time (along with many others, of course) that it came to the point where when a song starts to play on the radio with cheer-y guitar intros, I immediately know that it's them. Oh you know it. They just know how to set the mood.
Lisztomania (Acoustic) - Phoenix
I hereby present to you one of my favorite Phoenix songs in acoustic. Totally glorious!

It Was Like Fire Around the Brim
Sleepyhead by Passion Pit is one of my favorite songs ever. I never get tired of it and I have a gazillion of versions and covers of it in my iPod. But one of my favorites has got to be the one by Ellie Goulding and Starsmith. Honestly though, it sounds like a more polished version of Run Toto Run's cover (which isn't so bad as well).
PS.
Can I just say that Ellie Goulding looks too much like my friend, Desiree? And when I say too much, I really do mean too much.
Desiree and Ellie Goulding. So, what can you say?

Party Obsession
I think I'm beginning to develop an obsession with bands with the word "Party" in it. Well okay, I'm going to come clean and say that I only know two bands with the term in their names at the moment but I'm really open to looking for more.
Wild Party
Violet - Wild Party
Funeral Party
Car Wars - Funeral Party
Now, now.. this is just a taste of what they can offer you. If you hear more of their stuff, I'll be posting links to their sites at the end of this entry.
Wild Party and Funeral Party are the groups that I'm talking about. Their upbeat tunes have been an iPod playlist staple for a while now and I just can't help myself! That's just one of the things they have in common - the other is the word Party of course, and another one is that they're just starting in the music industry.
New bands tend to excite me. Maybe I should start learning how to mix (music) so I can make a mash-up of the two. Y/N?

Liar, Liar Pants on Fire
thSo I finally decided to put up a music blog. Kudos to Mary Nicole for the URL (she basically came up with it because my ideas were absolute garbage). I've been thinking about it for quite some time now but never really had the guts to do it I suppose. My block mate just urged me to do so since I've been his main source of new songs for the the past months. I've been making him listen to some of my playlists and he likes them. Plus, I've always been into music. I mean, how can I not?
* * *
White [hwahyt, wahyt]
adjective, whit·er, whit·est, noun, verb, whit·ed, whit·ing.
–adjective
Lie [lahy]

White Lies
A great band from the U.K. And one of the best alt-rock/post-punk revival bands of the 2000S. Listen to there album from 2008, to lose my life or to lose my love. The song to lose my life is great.
This is my first ever blog post here. Oh, and just a warning: I tend to ramble. Yep, even while writing, I ramble. So please, just bear with me.

According to UrbanDictionary.com:

Let's grow old together, and die at the same time!(White lies)
It's nice to know that there's still a band that reminds people of Joy Division and the glorious 80's. And it's even nicer to know that a lot of people appreciate them.
Every week I get a new White Lies LSS. This time it's Death. It's the upbeat melody that you can almost dance to, the lyrics that just makes everybody relate to it, and the music video. How can you ever forget the music video? It isn't exactly new but can't a girl just not follow trends or be a little bit backwards?
